Celebrating Preserving, and Promoting Modern & Contemporary Art
DISCOVER MAM-Y
MAM-Y is conceived as both a physical hub and a nomadic platform that brings exhibitions to diverse communities, and a digital space that makes African creativity accessible to the world. Rooted in local heritage yet open to global dialogue, MAM-Y reimagines what a 21st-century museum can be: dynamic, inclusive, mobile, wall-less and beyond borders. It is a home for artists and creatives, a gathering place for audiences, and a catalyst for cultural exchange and innovation.
MAM-Y envisions art as a catalyst for connection: advancing understanding between Africa and its diasporas, encouraging cross-cultural exchange, empowering communities, and giving agency to those who shape cultural narratives.
Thought-provoking exhibitions: Curated displays that challenge perspectives and spark conversation.
Educational programs: Research, training, engaging workshops, lectures, and outreach initiatives that deepen understanding.
Artist support: Providing financial support, grants and resources to empower African and diaspora artists, including residency programs, skills development workshops, mentorship, and coaching.
Community engagement: Building strong connections with local communities through partnerships and inclusive programming.
